Easter Peep Cupcakes

by Karen on March 18, 2012

Easter Peeps!!!!  My absolute favorite type.   Peeps are so versatile and for these cupcakes I just set them on top of the frosting piped with the grass tip.  I use the Ateco grass piping tip #133.  Wilton also has one #233.  Either one will work.  Once you are set up, the piping goes pretty fast.

Watch my How-to video and you’ll see…………The video is on decorating Silly Monster cupcakes but the piping technique is the same, just use green colored frosting for grass.

After I pipe on the grass, I add a few rainbow sprinkles to make it festive.

They even added a new color this year, orange.  Could life get any better?

OOOps forgot to tell you the most important part,  you will have to bake cupcakes first and let them cool.   Any flavor will work.  Follow my recipe for vanilla buttercream to use as frosting here.
