How to make Mini Ice Cream Cone Cake Bites

Mini Ice Cream Cone Cake Bites

When I put these up on facebook I realized that some of you might think these are the cupcakes baked in ice cream cones, well they aren’t.  I found these mini ice cream cones one day at Lucky supermarket and thought I have got to do something with’m.  Hence the Mini Ice Cream Cone Cake Bite!  I have seen cones elsewhere at different stores so I know they are out there.   As I state in the video, the hardest part about making these is having the finished cake bites .  You can watch the video on how to make cake bites here.

List of items you’ll need:
12-Cake bites (finished)
12-mini ice cream cones
4 oz. M & M candies (optional)
4 oz. of melted chocolate in the same flavor as the finished cake bites

Note:  I use the microwave for melting chocolate but I go real slow heating a little bit and then stirring.  You can use the double boiler method which ever is easiest for you.   The chocolate does not have to be very hot just enough so that it is smooth and you can stir it.

Just dip the finished cake bite in the melted chocolate just enough to coat the bottom only.  Place bite on the mini ice cream cone to set. 

That’s it.  The possibilities are endless……………….

It’s confusing I know. Yes this is the place, if you subscribe you’ll get an email when the new posts come out. I’ve got 800 fans on the Frosting account and people are slowing moving here. But until everyone does I try and update at both accounts

Love the cake bite video, I’m not sure on the porportions of the cake bite mixure- is this available on your web site?

I usually use about 2/3 cake to 1/3 frosting. But it’s really about texture so always taste as you go, reserving a little cake and frosting if you need to go back and add.
